OTHER PROJECTS
I've been involved with a range of projects outside my formal employment - from supporting a US-based dance convention, to working with a contemporary artist to mount an exhibition.

Below are some highlights, past and present.
01
Anthropy (2022 and 2023)
Anthropy is a leadership gathering that takes place over three days at Cornwall's Eden Project. In its inaugural year (2022) I was invited to join the Arts and Culture steering committee.

At the 2022 event, I chaired a panel on education, and coordinated Dame Darcey Bussell's presence, including interviewing her live on-stage.

At the 2023 event, I returned to deliver further sessions with Dame Darcey (linked to my Trusteeship of her charity, DDMIX).

02
DDMIX: Trustee (ongoing)
I am a Founder Trustee of Diverse Dance Mix (DDMIX), a charity led by Dame Darcey Bussell that aims to get people moving without being intimidated by the word ‘dance’ or the technicality of the steps.

In this role I have provided strategic advice, in particular in the area of stakeholder engagement and working with schools, a key target demographic for the programme.

03
Dance Teacher Web (2023)
Dance Teacher Web Conference and Expo is an annual event for dance educators that takes place in Las Vegas, USA.

Having forged a link in the latter part of the 2010s whilst working at the Royal Academy of Dance, I was invited in a private capacity to create a new series of "Englishman in Las Vegas" documentary clips for the 2023 event - go to this YouTube playlist.

04
British Ballet CHarity Gala (2021)
Working to a brief by Dame Darcey Bussell, I originated the design for, and produced, the A3-sized programme for the inaugural British Ballet Charity Gala in June 2021.
I also attracted a print sponsor (Mount Street Printers) to minimise investment of charitable funds.
I worked backstage on the night, providing direct support to Darcey and her artistic colleagues, including the Artistic Directors of the UK's eight premier ballet companies.
05
A Journey Through Abstraction (2020)
I created a brand for contemporary artist Nina Dolan's Spring 2020 solo exhibition in Chelsea, London.
Then deployed this brand across events, new website, print, press collateral, and other communications channels.
06
Desert Island Dances (2021)
Inspired by the famous Radio 4 show, I developed a new 'spin' on Desert Island Discs by featuring screened performances of Dame Darcey Bussell, which enabled her to tell the story of her life and career in a live interview setting.
This event was sold-out (with 150 attending) and formed part one of a two-part evening that also featured a smaller group of attendees coming together to form a new Development Network for Morley College London.
